Privacy Policy for GeoLoc
Last Updated: October 26, 2026
Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and safeguarded by the GeoLoc (also referred to as "GeoLocator") application, website, and related services. By using our Services, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
1. App Purpose and Compliance
GeoLoc is designed and operated exclusively as a family safety service, a child GPS tracker, and a domestic online baby monitor. The sole purpose of the application is to help parents monitor their children's locations and ensure family security. GeoLoc does not contain, facilitate, or allow the generation of any content, including AI-generated imagery or any non-consensual media (Strictly compliant with Google APIs Terms of Service regarding AI NCII protection). The app cannot be used to track spouses or adults without their active awareness and participation within the designated family circle.
2. Types of Information We Collect
To provide our safety features, we collect the following categories of information:
- Account and Profile Information: When you register an account via Google Auth or email, we receive your name, user ID, mobile phone number, and a profile photo (if provided). To add family members, we collect their names and identifiers to link them to your family circle.
- Real-Time and Background Geolocation Data: To provide accurate tracking, safe zone alerts, and movement history, GeoLoc collects precise location data via GPS, Wi-Fi, and cellular triangulation. This data is explicitly collected in the background even when the app is closed or not in use, ensuring continuous safety monitoring for the family.
- Audio Transmission (Baby Monitor & Walkie-Talkie Features): When using the Baby Monitor or Walkie-Talkie functions, the app requests access to the device microphone solely to stream voice communication directly between family members. This audio transmission is strictly established via peer-to-peer (P2P) technology. Audio data is processed locally in real-time, is never uploaded to our servers, and is never stored or shared with any third parties.
- Messages and User Content: We collect and store text messages exchanged within your private family chat room to maintain communication history.
- Device and Technical Information: We automatically collect standard technical metrics such as device type, unique device ID, battery voltage levels, operating system version, and IP addresses to monitor the service stability and update the software automatically.
3. How We Use Your Information
GeoLoc processes your data strictly for legitimate operational purposes:
- To initialize and securely maintain your family circle and user account.
- To display real-time positions on the map, trigger safe zone entering/leaving alerts, and generate movement history routes.
- To deliver push notifications regarding low battery warnings or safety alerts.
- To facilitate real-time Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Walkie-Talkie voice exchanges and emergency call-backs within the application without central server storage.
- To diagnose technical performance problems and respond to customer support inquiries.
4. Third-Party Data Sharing and Infrastructure
We value your privacy and **do not sell or rent** your personal or location data to third-party advertisers or data brokers. To host and secure our infrastructure, we utilize the following trusted sub-processors:
- Google Firebase Services: User profiles and database states are maintained via Google Firebase (including Firestore, Cloud Messaging, and Crash Reporting). Firebase operations strictly adhere to Google's data protection privacy frameworks. Firebase Analytics can be manually disabled at any time via the internal application settings.
- OneSignal SDK: Integrated solely for handling push notifications. We have explicitly disabled location tracking and location sharing inside the OneSignal configuration; it receives only standard notification delivery tokens.
5. Data Retention, User Access, and Deletion Rights
You maintain full control over your data within GeoLoc:
- You can correct, update, or modify your personal profile settings directly inside the mobile application interface.
- Right to Deletion: You can permanently delete your personal information, historical routes, and account records at any time. To request complete account deactivation and removal of all associated data, please email your request directly to our support team at q@geoloc.app.
- Simply uninstalling the application from your smartphone does not automatically delete your records from our active cloud database storage.
6. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for ensuring that all members linked to your family circle are aware of the tracking functionalities. Rely on parental reason and common sense when configuring tracking profiles, and ensure children’s devices are set up appropriately to prevent distractions during school environments.
7. Contact and Support
